GREENSBORO – Chaleunphone Charles Nhouyvanisvong, 83, died Monday, April 22, 2024, at his residence.
He was born December 1, 1940, in Laos and was the son of the late Bounthieng Nhouyvanisvong and Quoc Sasorith Nhouyvanisvong. Charles served in the Royal Lao Army before relocating to the United States in 1980.
Charles is survived by his wife, Khammay Khamvongsa Nhouyvanisvong, of the home; daughter, Intha Nhouyvanisvong (Jit Lothakoun) of Greensboro; two sons, Sonny Nhouyvanisvong (Alina Vannavong) of Greensboro and Adisack Nhouyvanisvong (Soukthavi Kouanchao) of Wayzata, Minnesota; and nine grandchildren.
A traditional Buddhist celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm Sunday, April 28, 2024, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point. The cremation ceremony will conclude the service in the Life Tribute Center of Cumby Family Funeral Service.
